Guidelines for Presenters

Presenters may find the following guidelines useful in the preparation of their contributions.

Please keep in mind that the main goal of the MORSE User Consultation Workshop is to identify and discuss the geospatial information needs and user requirements in arctic coastal areas today, with the objective to better define and coordinate related development activities for both applied research and operational use of Earth observation technology in the coming years.

Each presentation should stay within a 15-minute time frame. Audio-visual equipment will be available on site.

Please consider in your presentation the following issues:

  • - What are the particular needs and requirements for your field and how are they evolving?
  • - To what extent has satellite data been utilized to meet these needs and requirements and with what success? What new insights have been gained?
  • - What do you consider to be the opportunities and the barriers concerning the use of satellite data to meet needs and requirements?
  • - What can data providers and scientists do to help the end users and their operations? Conversely, what feedback do these users have for data providers and scientists?

Following the meeting, proceedings of the workshop (i.e. presentations along with other pertinent documents), will be made available at www.morsearctic.net.
